It marks the website placed at the top of its category on Leaftreedir, in a large box with its thumbnail.
What does the “Featured” badge mean?
Featured When you see this badge next to a website, it means it is ranked first in its category: it is shown in the large box at the top of the category page, ahead of all the other websites.

- 1The large box with the thumbnail: it is reserved for the website at the top of the category.
- 2The “Featured” badge, shown alongside the website's other badges (New, Premium…).
- 3The other websites are displayed as a list, with neither a large box nor a “Featured” badge.
When is it displayed?
Only when the website's link is dofollow. A website whose link is still nofollow (free listing, during the trial period) stays in the list, even if it is in first position: it gets neither the large box nor the “Featured” badge.
The large box and the badge are displayed when all three of the following conditions are met:
- the website's link is dofollow;
- the website is in first position in its category;
- you are on the first page of the category, and the website's thumbnail is ready (a screenshot is generated within 24 hours).
How do I get it?
★
Paid listingA website added with the paid version at $10.00 goes straight to the top of its category, with a dofollow link from the moment it is added.🔗
Switch to a followed linkWhen a free listing's link changes from nofollow to dofollow at the end of the trial period, that website can in turn receive the badge.How long does it stay displayed?
The badge stays displayed for as long as the website holds first place in its category. When another website takes first place, that website receives the badge instead.
